A complete rethink and expansion of a wood cabin in Fire Island Pines. We raised the entire house on a rebuilt foundation to comply with the new FEMA Flood regulations, added a second story for a primary suite with a balcony and rearranged the ground floor. The entire interior was rethought, rebuilt, re-lit and refinished. Cedar cladding inside and out creates a maintenance free environment and underscores the rustic sensibility.
